Sharing patient information means better patient care.

Who We Are

Central PA Connect is a Health Information Exchange (HIE). Administered by Lancaster General Health and founded on an information exchange capability in place since 2008, Central PA Connect is primarily focused on providers in the counties of Lancaster, York, Lebanon, Berks and Dauphin.

Central PA Connect includes LG Health’s extensive patient information database and community patient portal services used by hundreds of area independent providers including specialty practices, behavioral health providers, and skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. Now Central PA Connect is joining the Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership, a PA Patient & Provider Network with a key objective to expand interoperability across the State.

Benefits of Joining

A secure, electronic health information exchange like Central PA Connect provides many benefits for both clinicians and patients. As patients see multiple providers at a variety of healthcare facilities, we make managing care more efficient by offering a single source of comprehensive patient data. Patient visits become more productive and unnecessary tests can be avoided, resulting in greater peace of mind and satisfaction for patients and reducing costs.

Providers have immediate access to patient medical information, such as lab results, allergy information, current medications, past hospitalizations, and other crucial information that is important to know when making a clinical decision. By joining Central PA Connect HIE, providers have access to all health information organizations that are part of the PA eHealth Partnership.

Funding Opportunities Through Grants

Central PA Connect is committed to enhancing patient care and clinical outcomes in the region and throughout the state through secure, discrete data sharing. Now as a Pennsylvania eHealth partner, Central PA Connect can leverage Grant opportunities, to reduce cost for organizations like yours and enable you to participate in patient health record exchange.
