Central PA Connect is a Health Information Exchange (HIE), established and administered by Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. Central PA Connect’s roots date back to 2008 when we started with discrete information exchange. In 2018, Central PA Connect became a certified participant in the Pennsylvania Patient & Provider Network (P3N), through the Department of Human Services, Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership program. Central PA Connect became a Carequality implementer in 2019 and is able to leverage the framework to enhance the data exchange.
With members across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Central PA Connect HIE facilitates real-time data exchange of clinical information, encounter notification alerting and a connection to several state registries, including Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP), PA Immunization Electronic Registry System, and Electronic Lab Reporting. Central PA Connect HIE is a proud founding member of the PA Navigate program, working to connect Pennsylvanians to social services and increase the overall health and wellness of the communities we serve.
